Adelitas Way talk Uproar Festival

by Reggie Edwards When Adelitas Way exploded into the limelight last year with Home School Valedictorian, it was pretty clear they would be a mainstay in the rock scene for awhile. When the lead single, “Sick,” dropped and went straight to no. 1, it all but solidified their spot on the top of the rock world. With sets on the main stages of virtually every major rock festival in the country this year as well as a spot playing with Shinedown on the Avalanche Tour this last spring. The hits keep coming and the headlining spots keep piling up- nothing is more evident of this than this year’s Uproar Festival, where Adelitas Way will be kicking off the main stage action with Staind, Godsmack and Shinedown for the entire tour. Front man Rick DeJesus sat down with us to talk about what it means to them to be playing such a prolific bill as well as the brotherhood that has developed between them and the rest of the bands on the lineup.
