With this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival on the brink of kickoff, many bands playing the annual trek are some of the strongest young bands on the circuit today. One of them, Walking Papers, is set to release their debut record August 6 and features Duff McKagen of Guns n Roses and Loaded fame.
McKagen may be one of the busiest men in rock music today with Walking Papers featuring a different sound than we’re used from McKagen’s bands.
Walking Papers self-titled debut record offers up a straight rock record with some blues-oriented elements included. Vocally, Jeff Angell is right on target and the entire album is produced beautifully.
In today’s rock world fans are always looking for the next new thing and for something fresh- Walking Papers are that band. Though they aren’t 100% new and innovative, they offer up a fresh sound that fans have been looking for.
