Spiralarms Premiere Video For \”Drugs and Alcohol\” on Loudwire,

East Bay Heavy Rockers SpiralArms released their critically acclaimed second album Freedom this past October on SPV/Steamhammer.  The band has finished work on the second video from Freedom for the song \”Drugs and Alcohol\” and are premiering it today exclusively on Loudwire.  The video, which was directed by Mike Sloat (Testament, Machine Head), can be streamed HERE.

\”We wanted to make a video of us with a tight group of friends and fans crammed into a living room house party environment. I can honestly say that was the most fun I\’ve ever had making a video. Real people being real! \”Drugs & Alcohol\” is a performance video that hits the nail on the head of fun, excess and the power of SpiralArms\”, says guitarist Craig Locicero.

SpiralArms\’ Craig Locicero teamed up with Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn to organize a special benefit concert for a long time figure and friend in the Bay Area metal and punk scenes Nikki Davis.  Nikki and her husband Jeff were involved in a serious motorcycle accident.   Sadly, Jeff died at the scene. Fortunately, Nikki survived but she was unconscious for a few days. She awoke to the daunting reality that her husband, soul mate and best friend had passed away.

SpiralArms rose from the ashes of millennial bands SystematicForbiddenand Man Made God. This sextet has one mission. That mission is to save today\’s music scene by bringing true heavy melodic rock to the forefront.  And they plan on doing this with Freedom.

Freedom\’s down-to-earth and very dynamic production also deserves a mention. The album oozes a liveliness, which many other bands tend to lose in the studio. \”We always work at the studio as a full band,\” says Locicero. \”The basic tracks of the new album were recorded in just about 16 hours, the rest was recorded by and by, but always in the same spirit. From the beginning, we never lost sight of our vision and that special flair which our new songs have.\”

The album can be ordered on Amazon and iTunes.
