Review: Opeth – Sorceress

\"downloadWith the release of their 12th studio album Sorceress, Opeth has perfected their ability to be one of the most diverse bands in metal today. Being around for almost 2 decades, the Swedish powerhouse really out did themselves on this one.

Sorceress starts off with “Persephone” which is an absolutely beautiful opening to a brilliant album. The title track “Sorceress” is probably my favorite song off of the album. It is one of those songs that you have to listen to a few times to really grasp everything instrumentally. That actually holds true for a majority of Sorceress, it is definitely not an album you can listen to once and really appreciate everything about it. “Strange brew” and “The Wilde Flowers” are not to be overlooked on this album either.

Not only is Sorceress is a huge win for Opeth but it is an even bigger win for the fans.

Overall I would give it a 4/5
