Review: Alter Bridge – The Last Hero

\"download\"Alter Bridge has outdone themselves with their newest album The Last Hero. While they have stayed true to the typical Alter Bridge sound, they have branched out instrumentally on The Last Hero and the outcome is beyond satisfying.  While the musical aspect of the album is outstanding, It also has a very good balance of uplifting and feel-good messages while still having serious tones to it.

Starting off the album is “Show Me a Leader” which with the upcoming election couldn\’t have come at a better time. While having an important message, it is still a pretty catchy tune. Moving onto “My Champion” which is my favorite song from The Last Hero. It is such a feel good song and the message of the world is going to knock you down but you have to keep going is so beautiful. “The Otherside” is haunting, heavy and an all around bad ass song. The variations in his vocals throughout the song add that extra power that makes it one of the songs that sticks out the most to me on this album.

Overall, this is a ten out of ten album.I can listen to it all the way through without skipping a song, which is always a plus. It also is an album that makes you feel every single emotion that was put into it. Alter Bridge has done a fantastic job of staying true to themselves while branching out musically to make this masterpiece. The Last Hero has now made its way to my top 10 albums of 2016.
