Nickelback set for seven month tour with Pop Evil, Lifehouse, The Pretty Reckless as support
Multi-platinum selling, international rock super-group Nickelback, are doing final preparations before they head out on their 60+ date, mega-headlining North American tour in just over a week. Today they have announced the addition of support acts adding Pop Evil (March 22 – April 7) to round two of the dates, and Lifehouse (June 19 – August 29) will cover the final run. Nickelback’s No Fixed Address Tour is produced and promoted exclusively by Live Nation and begins Valentine’s Day, February 14, in Allentown, PA at the PPL Center. Full list of dates below. Ticket information, including a select amount of VIP packages can be found atwww.nickelback.com or at www.livenation.com.
Nickelback will hit the road for the next seven months in support of their acclaimed eighth studio album, No Fixed Address (Republic Records), released last November. No Fixed Address spawned the anthemic Active Rock hit, “Edge Of A Revolution,” and the #1 Most Added at Top 40 and iTunes Top Rock Songs Chart hit, “What Are You Waiting For?”
Nickelback will be joined by special guests The Pretty Reckless, supporting their latest release Going To Hell (Razor & Tie), for 19 dates when the tour launches, February 14 through March 15. Michigan rockers Pop Evil will pick-up the next ten dates, March 22 through April 7. Lifehouse will finish out the remaining 30+ dates, in support of their new release Out of the Wasteland (Ironworks Records/Kobalt Label Services), beginning on June 19 in Ridgefield, WA.
Since 1996, NICKELBACK have cemented themselves as one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades. The group’s worldwide sales exceed 50 million units, solidifying their status as the “eleventh best-selling music act” and second best-selling foreign act in the U.S. of the 21st century-behind only The Beatles. Their inescapable and irresistible smash “How You Remind Me” remains Billboard’s “Top Rock Song of the Decade” and “Fourth Song of the Decade”. Amongst all of these accolades, they’ve been crowned Billboard’s “Top Rock Group of the Decade” as well. Along the way, they’ve received a staggering nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, 12 JUNO Awards and have been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame.
