Live: Strand of Oaks at Thalia Hall in Chicago

Philadelphia based  Strand of Oaks  who is touring in support of their latest release, Hard Love (Dead Oceans) recently made a stop at Chicago\’s Thalia Hall  for show #5 on the  20+ city  tour.  The Timothy Showalter led  Strand of Oaks dug into a ten song set list that included tracks from their 2014 release Heal along with Hard Love. Showalter brought out openers, Twin Limb to join Strand of Oaks on “Everything.\” The finest moment of the night would take place during the encore when Showalter welcomed his mother to the stage to sing the  Carole King classic, \’So Far Away.\” Setlist
