Live Review: Theory of a Deadman in Angola

After a few postponed show dates, Theory of A Deadman fans finally got to see the show they had been waiting more than a year to see. The Say Nothing Tour 2021, included Theory of A Deadman, 10 Years, and Eva Under Fire stopped in Angola, Ind. at the popular Eclectic Room but unfortunately few hours before the show was to kick off, 10 Years singer Jesse Hasek tested positive for Covid-19 and they would not be able to perform their set. Eva Under Fire opened things up and not disappoint- they have a loyal following and they are familiar to the Northeast Indiana crowds since they’re from Detroit. They put on a great show, playing tracks from their most recent record, Unstoppable but would also threw in fan-favories “Heroin” and “I will Fight” and would also bring the house down with crowd participation, lighting up the venue with lighters and phones during “I am the Light.” Theory of a Deadman came out swinging with three of their biggest songs in “Bitch came Back,” “Low Life” and “Blow.” They put on a great show and, while they are not too active on stage, still brought strong energy to the stage for the fans, and the fans were ecstatic as the band would close the show with “Bad Girlfriend,” making the wait more than worth it for the fans who had been waiting for over a year for the show to finally happen. -Brien Mitchum
