Live: Flogging Molly brings \’Anthem\’ to Indianapolis

Flogging Molly kicked off their Anthem Tour at White River State Park’s TCU Amphitheater in Indianapolis and they didn’t come alone. With them were The Skints, Tiger Army, and The Interrupters and these four bands rocked Indianapolis to its core.

The Skints opened the concert helping get the crowd pumped up and ready for what was to come and when Tiger Army took the stage, you could tell the crowd had only just a taste and were hungry for more.

Now it was time for The Interrupters, who took one look at the crowd and knew exactly what they wanted.

They played such songs “Take Back the Power,” “By My Side,” “She Got Arrested,” “She’s Kerosene” and “In the Mirror.” As the co-headliner to Flogging Molly, The Interrupters were great at thanking its fans, the previous bands and pumping up the crowd for what was to come.

The moment the crowd had all been waiting for- Flogging Molly- took the stage by storm next, kicking off its set with “Drunken Lullabies” and it didn’t take long for the crowd to start singing alongside the band.

Shortly after starting their set, Flogging Molly announced to the crowd their brand-new album, Anthem, was set to release in September and even gave Indianapolis just a taste of what would be on this album and got right back to the hits the crowd wanted to hear.

Flogging Molly made it clear that they are not going anywhere, even after 20 years of making music. The whole experience from the first band to Flogging Molly is what summer concerts are all about.
