Live: Disturbed in Fort Wayne

Disturbed recently embarked on a worldwide headlining arena tour in support of their newest album- Evolution, which kicked off in North America and will continue into Europe but hit Fort Wayne’s Allen County War Memorial Coliseum this week.

Disturbed was formed in 1994 has released seven studio albums that have produced several hits including “Down with the Sickness,” “Stupify,” “Indestructible” and “Into The Fire” to include a few.

For the US let of the Evolution tour, Disturbed has brought along In This Moment, who always brings a show with them. Looking at their set list there was only seven songs- some well known, some not, and a few covers.

They opened with a cover of Steve Miller’s “Fly Like an Eagle.” The lights and props were flowing during their set, and they warmed the crowd up for Disturbed.

“Music as a Weapon” is the message that Disturbed brought onto the stage, encouraging people to have a voice of their own. They played all of the fan favorites and the way the stage was set up it allowed them to move around and interact with the crowd.

From the guitar, bass and drum solos to the slowed-down acoustic set that they performed for the crowd including cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence,” Disturbed ended the show with an encore and, of course, “Down with the Sickness”.

As usual they put on a great show for the crowd and they are always a great live show to see if they are in your area.
