Impending Doom: Death Will Reign review

2013 has been an interesting year for Metal, especially Christian metal bands.  As I Lay Dying has been halted from doing anything as allegations of Tim Lambesis trying to hire someone to kill his wife?  Demon Hunter is holed away making new music and working on their prospective projects, The Devil Wears Prada put out a killer album in September, and there are AMAZING releases by Red, Skillet, Stryper, Extol, Living Sacrifice, and August Burns Red.  But who gets the attention as the standout release? Impending Doom has just put out a seriously KILLER album and ever band just mentioned above except Impending Doom has had a serious breakthrough album that every fan has.  If you don’t have albums like The Hammering Process by Living Sacrifice, Stryper’s To Hell With The Devil, or As I Lay Dying’s An Ocean Between Us then PLEASE do yourself a favor and pick up those quality albums. This IS the breakout album for Impending Doom.  You can get it on iTunes for 7.99 and seriously YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.  As soon as you hear the first 30 seconds of “Ravenous Disease” you know this will be an instant head banging throw down in the pit kind of album.  “Death Will Reign” follows that and it’s over before it’s even on.  “Beyond the Grave” is another killer song and if you’re looking for different tempos of varying speed then check out “Rip, Tear, And Burn,” “Hellhole,” “Live or Die” and the eight-minute epic conclusion “The Great Divine.” If you want breakdowns, if you want that hard sound, if you want the squeals in vocals then this is all for you!
