Grace Potter & The Nocturnal Announce Grand Point North and Red Rocks Dates; Band Releases 10-Yr Retrospective Photo Book

While Grace Potter & the Nocturnals will spend most of 2014 working on their fifth studio album, they will find time to play a handful of special shows.  Following on the heels of three successful years, the band has announced the fourth annual Grand Point North Music Festival will take place on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Burlington’s Waterfront Park. On the shores of Lake Champlain, Burlington’s Waterfront Park offers an idyllic setting for this intimate music festival.  GPN will headline each night with a lineup of opening acts hand-picked by the band. The groups will be announced over the course of the next few months. On September 20, GPN will make their headlining debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Co.  The band has had the honor of playing this majestic venue several times and look forward to returning as a headliner. Joining them on this special show will be Grand Point North alum, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, with an opening set from Boston’s own Lake Street Dive. Continuing the celebration of their 10-year anniversary, GPN recently published a book of photos documenting their 10 years on the road, in the studio and everything in between.  “A Decade on the Road with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals: Inside Looking Out” is a 10-year retrospective photo book, featuring the work of the band’s long-time friend and photographer Adrien Broom. Says Grace, “Adrien has been deeply entrenched inside our world, capturing images of me and the band since before she even realized that she was a photographer…she has been part of our unfolding story – injecting plot twist of her own throughout our many years traveling together.  If anyone else were behind the camera, these photos might tell an entirely different story, but through Adrien’s lens, it’s a story worth sharing.”  This hardcover book is available in limited quantities, and each book is individually numbered and signed.
