Farewell My Love- Mirror, Mirror review
Farewell, My Love’s latest, Mirror Mirror, is an EP that will hit hard with fans and become an instant favorite among the band’s cult following.
However, the EP as a whole failed to strike gold here. In a lot of ways it sounds like the band is trying too hard. As far as their genre goes, this is a great EP and Mirror Mirror will hit home with most of Farwell, My Love’s fanbasse.
I can close my eyes and see the thousands of screaming Warped Tour fans crowd surfing to the stage and going insane, which is great, but as far as strength of the release and putting it up against the other bands of their genre, this one just doesn’t have what it takes to measure up.
Farewell, My Love are capapble of much better than Mirror Mirror and they possess the ability to write more material than what they have here- the cover of Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” is a confusing choice and a mediocre cover that doesn’t seem to fit.
In the long run this is far from a bad release, in fact it’s not bad, it’s just not being felt on this end.
