Amy Grant; Be Still And Know…Hymns And Faith review

Amy Grant needs no introduction. A Christian music legend, she’s written some of the most prolific songs in music history and has numerous no. 1 singles.

Her latest record, Be Still And Know…Hymns And Faith, is a collection of some of Grant’s favorite classic hymns and worship songs with an acoustic folksy twist and touch. She even features her husband- country music legend Vince Gill- on a few tracks as well.

Grant is the perfect singer to record a record like this. Her voice compliments the musical direction perfectly. It also features a few tracks from previous albums Legacy…Hymns and Faith and Rock of Ages…Hymns and Faith, making for a well-rounded worship experience.

It won’t take long for you to start singing along with numerous songs being old favorites that we all grew up with in church on Sundays. “Power In The Blood,” “Just As I Am,” “Rock Of Ages,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” “What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” “Old Rugged Cross,” “How Great Thou Art,” “’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus,” “Holy Holy Holy” and more are featured and Grant doesn’t stray too far away from the original inception of the songs while still putting her own spin on them.

In the end, Amy Grant has done what she’s done all along and created an album that will suck you in, get you involved and move you beyond your expectations.
