American Teeth Share New Song \”fasterfaster\”

AMERICAN TEETH has shared the brand new single \”fasterfaster.\”

Listen to the track here.

The song is American Teeth\’s astute and poignant take on the age-old concept of stopping to smell the roses. It also touches on perception vs. reality when it comes to success and achievements. Musically, it\’s another super catchy bop with a perfectly undulating beat and a lyrical hook that will take up residence in your cranium for weeks at a time. American Teeth teamed up with poutyface and producer Micah Jasper (ELIO, Rebecca Black, Slayyyter) to craft this smooth jam.

\”\’fasterfaster\’ is about my frustration with the way our culture views success,\” the artist says. \”Everybody seems to be chasing some bullshit idea that when you achieve a level of success, you will be happy. Meanwhile, the journey is fucking miserable, and then the whole point of living is lost. This is my reminder to myself that working harder and faster doesn\’t necessarily bring success faster, if it\’s at the expense of your sanity. You\’re allowed to feel peace and contentment along the way.\”

American Teeth will appear at So What?! in Texas on Saturday, May 28.

American Teeth is the sonic alter ego of Elijah Noll, who collaborates alongside producer Colin Brittain (All Time Low, A Day To Remember, ONE OK ROCK, Papa Roach, Sueco) on the songs. Hailing from Portland, Maine but currently based in Los Angeles, he was named one of Alternative Press\’ 100 Artists You Need to Know and released the debut album We Should Be Having Fun last year via Fearless Records.

American Teeth is also quite literally a cyborg — he has a mechanical heart valve, which was installed when he was a teenager to replace a faulty valve with which he was born. His music is much the same — fusing organic sounds and shimmering synths.
